  1. Morning (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM): The Historical & Spiritual Hills

8:30 AM – Namirembe Cathedral (Protestant): Explore the oldest cathedral in Uganda (1890), known for its striking red-roof architecture and historical significance in the Buganda kingdom.

Short boda-boda ride down to the city center.

9:30 AM – Lubiri Palace & Kabaka’s Lake: Visit the perimeter of the Buganda King’s Palace. Nearby, see Kabaka’s Lake, a man-made lake commissioned by a Buganda king in the 1880s. A peaceful spot.

10:30 AM – Boda-boda to Kasubi Tombs (UNESCO World Heritage Site): This is a must-see. The royal burial grounds of the Kabakas (Kings) of Buganda. The main thatched-building architecture is awe-inspiring.

3:30 PM – Walk down to the Buganda Road Craft Market:

This is the perfect place for souvenirs. Haggling is expected. Find baskets (like the famous Ugandan basket bag), fabrics, jewelry, wood carvings, and paintings.

4:15 PM – Final Stop: Acacia Avenue / Kisementi:
